We were briefed to make a cool promo for the Christmas day special airing on MTV Classic, including the Top 40 Xmas songs, and the Top 400 Awesome 80’s Countdown! We had to go with kitsch.. Let’s be honest, there was no real way of making it cool, so I made it so uncool that it became cool again… perhaps. Stop-motion-dancing-turkey style. This challenged me both as a promo producer, and as a vegetarian. But we got there in the end, with a killer 80’s soundtrack, and a fancy dress turkey to bust the moves.
